Fort Worth City Club Wedding Video: Morgan + Craig

Filmed at the City Club in down town Fort Worth, this wedding video was one of the most challenging ones I’ve worked on. Well, at least the short film was. The full length version of Morgan and Craig’s video cut together like a dream. There was so much beautiful footage, it seemed like every shot was prettier than the last. That’s exactly what made the trailer so difficult! My task as a videographer is to find the best way to tell a long story in a short film, and it was a lot of fun this time! As I was carefully placing the last few clips in to the last section of the video I had to take a break because I realized I was so excited my heart was racing!

Probably my favorite part of the whole film is during the actual ceremony. You’ll notice Morgan and Craig are laughing during their vows and ring exchange. It’s not becuase anything was particularly funny that they were laughing, it was just that they were sharing so much joy, so much happiness in a single moment that they couldn’t contain it so it spilled out of them in the form of giggles.

When Morgan and I first spoke, she was planning a wedding with about 150 people. Within a few months, that guest list had grown another 100, and it’s no wonder why! These two are one of the kindest, most easygoing couples I’ve me and it’s easy to see why so many people love them and wanted to share this day with them.

I chose to title this film Reflecting on a Love Story, because everywhere I looked on their day, there were mirrors! The ballroom was curtained in mirrors on ever accent, corner, and column. As they walked through the overpass and down the escelader to their exit, I saw their reflection in the glass, smiling right at me. The theme was everywhere, and so the title just wrote itself.
